His loss will have a minimal effect on the Raiders, IMO..
Raiders should trade a 3rd for Kyle Orton..
Broken collarbone. Sucks to hear, Raiders were looking good.
Sign Garrard

Garrard or Orton would be an upgrade over Campbell
it's a huge biggie if you saw Boller out there today.
According to Schefter, the Raiders have contacted Garrard
Why Denver, Miami, Seattle and Indy haven't done this yet is beyond me.
teams have, especially Miami, but he wont take a 1 year contract.
Smart move. He's a carbon-copy of Campbell, but a little more mobile. He doesn't fall back on his mobility like every other spook does though.
He's efficient, takes care of the ball, and is a solid leader. For much of the season last year Jacksonville lead the league in first downs. He's had a solid career but has never had any weapons on the outside. When Mike Sims-Walker and Matt Jones are the best receivers you've played with, that's a problem.
Another plus is that he loves using the TE...Marcedes Lewis was his go-to-guy, and Oakland's leading receiver last year was TE Zach Miller. Look for Kevin Boss to start getting more involved in the passing game if Garrard does become a Raider.
Oakland's bye week comes up in a couple weeks, so this is the perfect time to grab him.
Boller is beyond ty.
@terrymc13 Terry McCormick
David Garrard's agent says it is "highly possible" QB will go to Oakland to work out for Raiders, but that matter still has to be discussed
highly possible? wtf? just say likely or unlikely.
Well, scratch the Garrard plan. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/71...ampbell-injury
The article says they contacted Josh McCown too...damn, Boller must really suck worse than we all thought![]()
As much as I hate him, they should actually give up a 3rd rounder in 2013 for Orton..Broncos could shed his salary and get a pick out of it, Oakland could get a slight upgrade over Campbell..
Orton and Campbell are basically carbon copies of each other minus a few things.
Both have terrible deeps balls, but Orton is a little more accurate overall while Campbell is a little more mobile.
Orton is marginally better, but with Campbell already having over a year in the offense, no way is he a better option for the rest of this season.
