After a 17 years long professional career, Rasho decided to retire.
Even if his stint with Spurs have had some ups and downs, Rasho has a had a great career and was a true nice guy. Props for all he has done and good luck to him in his new life. Thank you, Rasho.

Just correction: Rasho is saying that injury has nothing to do with it, it is just personal decision - after 17 pro-years he has just enough
Thx for all the fun Rasho.
couldve use him last season fkn instead of payin boner 3m a season, rasho was playin for peanuts in europe...
Great guy, good player. All the best to Rasho.
always liked him even as a spur. was disappointed when he was traded... especially when he was the reason for bonner coming here
One of the nicest guys to ever play in the NBA
He wasn't the best centerm but was solid and always gave 200% on the court
I love that in his final season he was named the Euroleague MVP for the month of February at the ripe old age of 34. I hate that his final game in uniform ended with the worst injury of his career, and that his career ended with him sitting on the bench in street clothes and his arm in a sling while his team lost the Greek le after an undefeated regular season.
A lot of fans liked to give Rasho a hard time, but when you look at all the players who came and went during the time that Rasho continued to play in the NBA, you realize the staying power he had. He was not the first, but he surely was one of the first to have a long NBA career afer coming over from Europe.
I do not think he will ever do it, but he would make a great scout of European talent for an NBA team. He knows both games really well and has a lot of connections throughout Europe. But I believe him when he talks about working with kids. Kids love Rasho -- the gentle giant -- and he will surely get to spend more time with his own kids, as well.
Summer 2011- the retirement of Rasho and of my 2 favorite centers to watch him defend- Yao and Shaq.

Aww! I'll miss seeing Sho play- a lot!!!!!!!
Sho is my favorite basketball player of all time.
But I am happy for Sho to be starting a great new stage in life. I am sure God will bless him in it.
Thanks for all the great memories, Sho!
