Barely out of nappies, four-year-old Maddy Jackson is already on the road to womanhood.
Sporting fake C cup breasts and padding on her bottom, she is the latest shock contestant on Toddlers and Tiaras, the U.S. reality show revealing the surreal world of beauty pageants.
In an attempt to mimic her curvaceous icon, country singer Dolly Parton - who is known for her ample cleavage - the toddler is shown sporting detachable bust and butt enhancements, before performing live on stage.
With the extra padding concealed under her Barbie pink Lycra catsuit, Maddy's tiny frame is transformed into an hourglass silhouette.
Barely able to string a sentence together, many will be shocked by the images of the peroxide blonde trying to emulate the appearance of a woman in her late 20s.
When questioned on NBC's Today show, her mother Lindsay, who entered her first pageant contest when she was nine months old, defends the enhancements used by her daughter.
She tells presenter Savannah Guthrie: 'To some people, it's over the top, to us it's just what happens... It's just normal. When she wears the fake boobs and the fake butt, it's just like extra bonus.'
But others seems less convinced and Maddy's stylist Michael Booth believes the attire is a step to far.
Interviewed backstage at the compe ion, where hundreds of young hopefuls battle it out to be crowned beauty queen, Michael said: 'I wasn’t a big fan of the outfit with the boobs in it. She’s very young, but hopefully the judges will perceive it in good taste.'

This is on the ing Learning Channel? What the ? Why has Discovery and its sister network become so re ed the last 10 years? Those used to be phenomenal networks with entertaining educational program,ing, and now they might as well be 24 hours of "Ow, My Balls"
Like I said, if the producers were smart enough they'd have a clause in the contract to film a show about these same kids and worthless parents in about 10 years cuz there's plenty that's going to go wrong for all of the participants. Some intervention will be needed.
"Hmm should we run an interesting segment on the rise of communism in Russia?"

I thought she got real breast implants for a second. The show/tiara's in general are the most ed up things on the planet. I wish that this was banned.
I'll agree that TLC is ed up, and has been for a while with the Duggars, the John/Kate mess, this , but WTF is wrong with Discovery? Last I saw, they were still doing their same educational/informational gig.
BTW, TLC rebranded themselves as just TLC years ago, dropping the whole pretense of being The Learning Channel.

Everything on Discovery seems to revolve around blowing up; it used to be more like PBS.

Discovery and other "information/education" channels are dumbing down/going-trashy to chase audience, because dumb and trashy is where the audience is.
It's going to be hard for me to about Tyler Perry with all of this .

Looked at the guide again, and you're right. The main discovery channel is overrun with American Chopper and Sons of Guns. Discovery Science, formerly the Science Channel, is still pretty good. There's still some good stuff on HD Theater, a Discovery Channel family member. Smithsonian Channel (unaffilliated) is good, too.
