It's been a few months since the sweep, and with some perspective behind us, has lakerfan taken the severe beatdown they've received from the Mavs graciously?
Obviously, lakerfan opinion on this thread doesn't really matter. We have a good pool of non-lakerfan here, so the question is largely directed at those people.
Do you think lakerfan has been humbled by JJ Barea and co?

seriously though, it's just a matter of acceptance for real fans while an issue of denial for bandwagon fans. sucks to get swept, but at least it wasn't the celtics or kings that did it.
If by "graciously", you mean trying to divert attention by being insufferable bags who are constantly playing virtual grab ass with each other, then....yes, I suppose they have.

This. And despite how we got beatdown, it's not like losing to the Celts. that in 2008 hurt much worse than this. even though I knew they were better in that Finals to see them get 17 at our expense (when we were chasing 16) and to see them make that miracle comeback on us at Staples. Last year was nothing compared to that. we were running on fumes and maybe our window is closed. We shall see. but 3 straight final trips with 2 rings gives you some perspective.
Ill say this ...the Mavs now have my attention but we shall see if they keep it. Spurs though not bitter rivals, with the Lakers ... got my attention. But they never talked . My guess is with Terry and Marion woofin' if the Lakers are up to it we may have a mini, Sacrementoesque rivalry brewing.
Yep, and we won two in a row and were trying to go not only for a 3 peat but trying to get to the finals 4 years in a row. I knew it was gonna be daunting coming in. Plus, throughout the season, there were signs that the team just wasn't as good as previous years, Kobe was aging/declining/injured whatever, Pau was "tired", Bynum had his usual absence and the bench was even more ty then before. It just didn't seem like we'd even make it back. It was disappointing we lost of course but not surprising in the least.
I'd like to think that The Skunker is the crown jewel of the Lakers' dominant years. The law of averages just caught up on the Lakers. They've been LOL-ing at teams for like forever and obviously that couldn't go on forever.

The real Laker fans don't accept it, but they know it happened and are ready to move on. The posers on this site are not real Laker fans, they are just forum monkeys.
Of course there are a few real Laker fans here, but those are mostly those who jumped on in the last 10 years (some due to age limitations).
