My sources told me that the Lakers will use their TPE for a 3 way deal and sign and trade to recieve AK47 who is believed to be asking 3 yrs/27 mil.
So basically its AK47 for Odom.

BTW, my source also states Bynum may be included in this package. The Lakers will somehow end up with Baron Davis and Hasheem Thabeet as Bynum's replacement as a result. Ronny Turiaf may also be in the package to reunite with his old pal Kobe to shoot another Nike Video.

That would make no sense...Why would the lakers get rid of Odom, who is a much tougher cover for every team in NBA for AK who is limited on the offensive end of the floor and would add another 10 mil for extra season.
I don't know why you're laughing bro. Thabeet was dubbed as Hakeem Olajuwon lite in College, sure he sucked but there's a reason why the Lakers hired Mike Brown aka the best defensive coach in the league.
If he can turn Ilgauskas into a decent defensive center then I dont have any doubts he can turn prospect like Thabeet into a 2nd team All Defense type of player.
Also, its not 100% sure yet, the Laker brass are discussing if its Gasol or Bynum. They are concerned with Bynum's knees but at the same time they believe when healthy, a Thabeet and Bynum frontcourt could be the next twin tower ala Robinson-Duncan.
Pls understand that a lot of things doesnt make sense in Lala land anymore. Hiring of Mike Brown, the addition of Kapono when there's clearly a log jam at the 3 spot, trading Odom for a candy wrapper, should I go on?
Plain and simple, the Lakers plan backfired and it cost them a lot (Odom). They originally wanted to keep Odom for another package but unfortunately Lamar's estrogen took over and wanted out.

Not sure what to think of it, but I know the Lakers have always admired Kirilenko's game.
He could actually be effective in LA.

You do realize right now we are either starting Black Walton (Metta World Peace) or actual Walton as SF as things stand right?
AK47 on his deathbed would be an upgrade to that.
