I am fine now with keeping RJ ... some more set plays for him definitely would help.
But really, can we have McRoberts instead of Bonner?
Doesnt take a genius to figure this out....![]()

I am now a believer of the RJ!
Well ... Pop wants him to jump in the pile ... not ride players of the opposite team
Rather than relying on him to be a spot-up 3-pt shooter, it'd be nice if the Spurs could deliberately get RJ the ball in places where he could be most effective. Much like on the preceeding videos.
T.J. Ford is going to get RJ in the All-Star game.
It's a set play. It would be much better if Parker could do that without the set play.
What would you have done? Specifically, which player would the Spurs have if you were running the team?
Luis Scola![]()
we need to throw like 10 alley oops to rj every game then be effective
If RJ plays in the 2nd unit with TJ and Manu some of the time I think his game play will be much better in offense.
TJ seems to be a passing point and we all know what Manu can do, could be interesting.
Having a true backup point will be nice to see and if RJs play improves then a big bonus, maybe thats why he hasn't been cut yet?
TJ + RJ Equals?
... a minimum of 8 new rant threads per week, and several long-time posters threatening to cancel season tickets they don't really have.
Get on the ing phone, show some desperation, if anything, for TD's last season sake. These days it's not hard to hear if you've been really trying, and how many trades for bigs did you hear the Spurs were trying to pull off?
Kaman?
I mean, we were bidding on SF's like Ginger can hold his own inside. I'm disgusted, tbh.
Hey bro, put in an application for FO..... Spurs will be good this year and you will eat crow.
Hey scrah... they'll be as good as they've been since HoF TD declined
But you keep talking yourself into thinking that making no changes after getting rick rolled by #8 seed Memphis will bring different results
PS: I'll be glad to eat crow.
spurs should have traded manu for a big
Bro shouldnt you be filling out your application? Ill help

Bro with those you should be able to land a job with any top tier teams, why settle with the Spurs?
Bro, feel free to fill out your own application, seeing you have mad resume-writing skills
If I wanted advice from a hack, I'll ask ducks, tbh.
Now, please give me the reasoning behind your opinion that the same frontline is going to give us different results...
Plus, I probably don't qualify since I don't drink and drive, tbh...

I see it like this, the guys your looking for in a trade, the Spurs already have and are developing;
Splitter will start. If he builds on what he did last year he will be badass.
RJ is a free flow guy not a set player guy. The only difference is now he has a bit of a jump shot and three, and TJ to bring out the free flow throw it down your throat guy the spurs were looking for.
Blair is 3 years in, its make or break time and he knows it, hence why he played in russia
Duncan is still a top PF.
Matt bonner... If he can drain threes in the playoff maybe he can be contribute, but history has proven otherwise. like everyone else dont see what he has on pop.
Kawhi Leonard is a stud. This kid is raw and will be sick and can help out right away. I think we saw the best George Hill had to offer.
James Anderson- fill in the blank
The spurs have been building up to this season...the fo knows what they are doing.

I agree with some of that, and don't agree with some of that.
For example, I agree about Splitter, but Tim can't play 48 minutes and neither can Thiago. And a bench of Bonner/Blair is just not compe ive. And so I wouldn't be surprised to see Tim/Bonner and Splitter/Blair paired. You still have a hole, IMO, whichever way you move the pieces.
I'm very excited about the kids. Both Anderson, Leonard, and I can't wait to see Neal's progression too. I just hope they actually get enough playing time so when the playoffs roll around, we don't get another Splitter/Hill demotion.
But thanks for posting your opinion. You can have one without having to apply for a FO position![]()
BTW, I'm just going to make a prognostication here about RJ... he will perform well during the regular season then slowly turn into a ghost (basically, same as the last two seasons). I just hope Leonard gets enough playing time during the RS so we have a serviceable replacement.
I'll be happy to eat crow should this not pan out. I want to be wrong, tbh.
