I honestly think the Nuggets are a sleeper for the Finals. They played terrific after Carmelo left, but in the playoffs they were just too inexperienced. IMHO I think they're a 3 or 4 seed.

good young group, no clear-cut all-stars (affallo will be one day) but all extremely competent, and now kenyon and friend-killer are gone there should be a harmonious locker room.
things that must happen:
- nene steps up and leads
- miller accepts a bench role (but he will play on the floor with Lawson I'm sure, worked with Billups and Ty)
- Gallo gets better this year
- Faried rebounds like he did in college

I think they're at least that good. I say a Finals sleeper because the West is so wide open this year. There's no clear cut top team, much less the usual 2-3 upper crust teams. I really think there's about 6 teams that could make it to the Finals out of the WC this season. , every team in the West except for Sacramento and Minnesota is a potential playoff team.
You don't think Minny has a shot at squeezing in? I don't know what to expect from them at all.
