Basketball. He's a much better defender and doesn't foul as much as Ian. On offense they both suck. Tiago also gets twice the rebounds Ian gets in only 6 more mpg.

Yeah, Mahinmi can´t shoot a jumper... He developed and i´m satisfied with the way he plays and right now he is better than Spliter!

Not playing next to Jim he aint. He looked like for the Spurs.

For the most part he did look pretty terrible. But at the same time I thought he did enough to warrant another veteran's minimum and be insurance (with the occasional 15pts and 9rebs against the a team like the Nets). At this point, its too bad we let him go..

Offensively Yes he is, Ian is pretty damn athletic, and talented for a guy his size but has the IQ of a lima bean, while Splitter works better for the Spurs system, and pick and roll, but he finishes like a pussy, and has no ouside jumper, or post moves.

Defensively I would take Splitter in a heartbeat, since all the games I've seen this year of the Mavs, Ian has got burned alot by some scrubs.

So I guess there even Spurs main problem is defense now, while I guess Mavs need the same now with Chandler gone.
