I saw some bad defense from Kobe in there.
Thanks for posting. Nice video.![]()
2nd year Manu alongside Hart, Heal (who the is that?), Rose and Nesterovic battling Shaq, Kobe, Malone and Payton.
One of those rare youtube gems that are worth sharing.
I saw some bad defense from Kobe in there.
Thanks for posting. Nice video.![]()

Good find. It kind of shows you what Ginobili could have done without Tony and Tim and if he had been the man. I think the Spurs limited how great he could have been individually.

I was at this game... if I remember correctly, we lost, but no one really gave a afterwards after seeing Manu play like that. This is also the day I bought my first Ginobili jersey. Thanks for the video brotha.

Still remember this game tbh. Nlgga took the fantastic four down to the wire on his own, I wasnt even mad after the loss...it was a great moral victory.
The only thing that has held Manu back is whats holding him back now: his inability to keep his body in top condition and play 35 minutes a night.
This is one of my top three favorite Spurs games ever. Manu takes 4 HOF'ers to 2OT with Horry, Malik & a bunch of D-League talent? Just awesome.
Great player, too bad he gets injured often.
Lol. You mean Anthony Carter or the scrub in street clothes?
I remember everyone was totally impressed with Hart after that game, too.
So Ginobili could have done without himself?
I think you meant Tony.
Just frickin amazing. Undervalued and underrated still to this day. Hate on him for his injuries all you want. Dude gets hurt because he plays with more heart and tenacity than anyone else, every frickin play, every loose ball, BOTH sides of the court. All heart. As he said once before, that's the only way he knows how to play. I'd rather have that than some selfish prima donna from any of those other teams.
Manu frickin Ginobili, enjoy this dude while we still can.

To this day, can't believe we lost that game. I felt like we had lost a playoff game after that loss, just because Manu played with so much heart and he deserved it so much. Still, awesome performance from an awesome player....flashes of 2005 SuperManu right there.
let me guess, the Spurs lost in OT with Pop getting outcoached?![]()
I always did enjoy watching Manu go up against the Lakers. I think it was that game he got into trash talking with Gary Payton and didn't let up. I don't think it was this game but this has always been one of my favorite dunks (along with the one on Yao). I never get tired of his crazy highlights. Sad to see that it is coming to an end soon.
I still remember Payton yakking with Manu on that game... they got double technicals... I guess Gary didn't appreciate some euro white boy ting all over him.
When he retires we will not see his like again in a Spurs uniform and maybe not in the NBA.
Did OP seriously just ask who the Shane Heal is? He's the ing hammer man.
You know it! Thanks....![]()
I remember that game, was a great moral victory (cause we lost it).
Great in game, he was a monster that night. Shat on that whole Laker team with prime Shaq and Kobe. Manu seems to step his game up, at least the intensity, against the Lakers. Might not be true, it's just a perception I've always had.
