Who can forget Willis Reed playing through pain in the 1970 NBA finals...I wasn't born then but I found out about it as soon as I was...
Isiah Thomas used to play through major pain and issues he never faked it..Magic even played with HIV for awhile...Steve Nash plays through back spasms...Derrick Rose looks like he tries to play through pain...and sometimes Chris Paul....Kobe is legendary for it... let's not even mention what he's done over the years he will play if his arm is falling off...by and large you just don't have players like that in the league anymore...
MJ faked having of all things...diarrhea in Utah...Tim Duncan sits for every dam ailment... they sit him out just for the fun of it...Lebron and Wade sit out for the silliest of ...just because...if they feel a cold coming down they sit...they just don't make players like they used to...and it's sad really..

Lol Willis Reed playing through pain. He limped out onto the court, made his first two shots, then sat down the rest of the game. He was a morale boost. Nothing more. Funny the 70 Lakers couldn't beat the Knicks missing their player. Speaks volumes of the massive failure that was the Jerry West led Lakers.
