Poor Amare'.
lmfao!
Poor Amare'.
lmfao!
Knicks might stop embarrassing themselves if that happened.
Bull . Kool said Dwight will join Kobe and CP3 in LA.
CP3 will be with Kobe whenever LAL plays Clips, so 50% fulfilled!
Interesting. I wonder if Dwight to New York would be enough to get Phil Jackson out of retirement. I think that could be a possibility with a trade like this.
On this things, I tend to believe Kool. The guy knows his stuff, and his sources are excellent.
easiest solution to the knicks problems would be to fire that suck ass coach they got.
Dwight is really a ty player and only...and that's a BIG ONLY if he comes to LA will his game improve...almost every player in NBA history when they go to N.Y their games suffer...that's a fact...it's like the Bambino curse on the Red Sox...NY is just ed when it comes to basketball...![]()
This. Even I'm beginning to doubt Amare now and his commitment to being a winner (though the Knicks could lose out for the rest of the year and it wouldn't do anything to justify the Suns' decision to let him leave), but they'll never be a contender with D'antoni as coach.
If I'm the Knicks, I do this trade in a heartbeat.... finish out the year as a Top 4-5 seed, then sign Nash or Paul in the summer and make a run at the Finals.
I agree
Get rid of D'Antoni first, then sign JVG
Dwight's better off staying in Orlando. He'd have Melo in NYC but that'd be IT. Who would be their starting PF? Jared Jeffries??
You'd probably have Glen Davis or Ryan Anderson going to NY in the deal too...
You dont need to have super stacked team to win
2 stars + a coach like JVG would transform the NYK
I think firing their coach and signing anybody but Nash would be a better solution tbh
It would be a horrible move for the Knicks. They would have to take Turkoglu's contract and have already used up their amnesty slot, so there's no way they could clear capspace to get a 3rd good player.
w/ billups gone NY need a ball distributor more than anything. a package containing TC & amare ain't a good deal for orlando either since TC's contract is HUGE which would be quite a burden for a rebuilding team
It makes a lot of sense for Orlando, instead of losing Howard for nothing they get Amare and Chandler on long term contracts. It would make sense for the Knicks too if Howard resigns with them, because they get the best big man in the NBA.
With 'Melo and Howard, plus Phil Jax the Knicks would be a contender, but the Heat would still have more talent.
If Howard goes to NY, and they keep Melo, look for Phil to ins ute the triangle there.
If you're talking to me: Because Phil needs a team that he doesn't have to build on. He will have a defensive mindset and they will get another big for nothing if Phil showed up.
