Had a huge 30" diameter trunk mesquite tree at the ranchito get struck by lightning last week during the storm and it literally exploded...there were pieces of it (even firewood sized and larger) for 200'+ in every direction...
This is what was left of the trunk...this was a solid tree...no rot...it was just blown into little pieces except for one big section of limb...
This three foot long piece was hanging in a tree 160' away...
This piece was about 4' long and 5" thick at the thickest part...I paced it off at 210' from the trunk....
These were just some of the big pieces I found along the road...there were smaller pieces scattered everywhere...the tree was literally blown into thousands of pieces...must have been a heck of a bang...

Actually the Lord wants me to go fishing...
Had a friend call me yesterday that keeps a 50' Viking Sportfisher in Palm Beach Florida and said they were tearing up the sailfish and wanted me to fly out tomorrow and go fishing this week...I had exactly enough air miles on my credit card to get a free round trip last minute ticket...It was like a message from God that I needed a vacation...

A couple of years ago, a friend of mine who has a ranch in the Poteet area, lost 8 cows who were standing under a tree like that when the lightning struck!

Dang, that was a big bolt of lightening! One of our neighbors lost a tree the same way several years ago and left a decorative chunk of the tree in the yard with a sign that said "Mourning Wood".

You invest in idea/inventions? I have this idea that will make me and whoever will invest in it with me RICH! This idea I have will change the way we do things like the rolling suitcase. I actually feel bad that people pass this up because I'm doing THEM a favor including them in this. I asked family members first because I'd rather someone from my family rack in money but that's a no go.

Thats what air instantly expanding dude to tremendous heat does. The amount of energy in the atmosphere dwarfs what we think of as high power. Pretty cool , IMO TBH etc etc
