Sorry if this was already posted somewhere, but just in case it wasn't, here is an inspiring yet well reasoned article about why the rest of the league should fear us when Manu returns.

I'm glad the Spurs are +.500 right now, but I believe it is slightly misleading in the sense that our road record is horrid. Playing well at home and then on the road does not lead to championships. That type of play could win, but we would need homecourt throughout to do it.

    I do fear bleacherreport.

such concentrations of debility contain an enormous potential of mental enfeeblement when brought together with the re department from ST.

Lets see how the road trip goes. I'm going to assume that the close games on the road would be won with Manu... AND TJ. We're still playing with one shoot first NBA caliber PG.

Here's one big reason why the Spurs should be set up to fail come playoff time:

    Awful Awful Awful defense.

    Sad, but true.

to be on the cautious side we don't know how Manu will be when he comes back. He was playing great before he got injured but with the surgical repaired hand being the hand that he plays with it'll be interesting to see how it affects him.

The main focus going into the playoffs should be defense. That means Tiago should start and finish games with Tim.

You're exaggerating and you know it.
    San Antonio currently ranks:

24th in opponent field goal percentage
23rd in adjusted opponent field goal percentage (adjusting for the fact that 3 pointers are worth more than 2 pointers)

Yeah. We cant stop anybody at all. In the last 10 games, we have been so bad as to give up 105 to Houston(no Timmy), New Orleans 102 and 101 to a Maverick team. Of course, the average for the 10 games in 89.4. The other 7 games were just a HORRIBLE 83.7 ppg.

With numbers like these, I dont mine having a awful defense.

That should have been the case from day 1 last year.

Don't discount the Spurs sitting at 16-9 after tonight - solid start and the
Spurs had played one of the strongest SOS in the league home or away before tonight's game with OKChttp://espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/powerrankings

SOS ranking boils down to the numbers. The road games I watched were very winnable. At some point the road loses become disconcerting.

16-9 is misleading, the games we loss without manu, those games were winnable ...record should be something like 20-5 21-4....
