Couldn't agree more. I was thinking the same thing, tbh...this game was phenomenal. We made the shots in "winning time."
That game reminded me so much of the classic Spurs game of the early 2000's.
Grind it out Defense, ugly offense, but we got the job done.
I promise you last year's team sans Ginobili would not have won this game.
And Tony Parker is absolutely beasting right now, major props to him.![]()

I am highly impressed with Parker, he is earning back my respect. I admit I was ready for the team to get rid of this guy last year and the year before. But he is really doing his part to keep us winning without Manu. Splitter 15 points, 17 minutes. I don't wanna touch it, but he needs more minutes. Let me agree, best win of the year. A lot of contributions from everyone. Neal looked like last years Neal.
Agree.
Defense was great tonight
We just beat up the best defensive team in the league and took their lunch money in their building.
The Defense was awesome. And TP hit the big time money shots to put the Sixers away...
Great defense and great game by Tony, Tim, Neal and Tiago. Hope we can keep this level of intensity
Agreed, TP has been goin HAM lately.
Thunder win was more impressive to me honestly. When you are against a whole team+refs and still win the game pretty comfy that has to be best win in my eyes.
That's a good point.
I love how Parker has evolved into a very well-rounded PG. He's now figured out how to pass the ball, which makes him just a double threat against opposing defenses. Now, to even hear him mention that he's been imploring Neal to pass the ball, is music to my ears. Our little Frenchman is all growed up.
All of a sudden we have 3 very winnable road games in front of us.....
Yep. Provin to be best in the west tbqh...
Great win.
And it's not like last year where we won games based on having hot 3 point shooting. This team is actually more disciplined and giving better effort on defense. Part of that has to due with the lockout, but the Spurs still look more focused.
Yeah, but we were at home for that one where we're usually amazing.
To get a win on the road against a team like this, and especially with how they got it is what makes it so great to me.
These guys have really turned the corner.
And he grew up in a matter of a month
Quite a few on here wrote him off and said that he lost a step, I attributed it to him not putting his foot on the pedal until Pop had a little sit down with him and allowed him to take control.
Great win..most definitely, but I think the OP was going with this one because it reminded him more of the Championship Spurs teams.
I think we win the next 3 games...I'm worried about that west coast trip if we got 2-2 I'll be happy....I hope were not peaking right now also, or Manu throws off the offense when he comes back, but I think we will be fine at the end of the day .
Good point, but I think that the offense has actually been more impressive coming from the bench. Besides Parker, no starter is putting up great numbers. I think that Manu will revitalize that starting unit by his improved shooting over Leonard and playmaking ability to find Jefferson in the corner and Blair streaking to the lane.
i dunno how you guys can say defense was great
the 76s didnt even have any halfcourt plays tonight, most of it were stupid isos, transition fast baskets and fluke shots uncontested against our less athletic players....
really? the sixers just looked like garbage to me
Not sure how pop does it, but he has this team playing way above their heads. Gotta be honest, I wasnt expecting anything special this year...but damn this team is fun to watch.
dunno how most of you guys say this was win of the year....its not even up there man....
that female ref is just lmao tryin to take control of the game with a humping foul called....
lol "trade Tony Parker" people.
Yes It Was. (So Far)
