Seems like it...4 teams over 20 wins..more playoff teams than any division in the league. Are the Spurs going to be stronger in the playoffs for playing in the SW?

Since this division was formed, it seems like there is constantly three and sometimes four playoff teams. It pisses me off to see the LAL consistently cruise in a division with no (or some years one) other playoff teams.

Yes, without a doubt...it's like the AL East in MLB.

At least we only cover one time zone. The poor bas s in the NW cover three; MN and OKC in the CST, DEN and UTH in MST, and POR in PST.

Geographically speaking, OKC should probably be in our division instead of Memphis. The reason they're in the NW is from their Seattle days.

Can you imagine if we swapped OKC for Memphis? Insanity.

Memphis and OKC are both geographic fits in the SW, but OKC is a better fit for the NW than Memphis would be.

Can you imagine if the local NOLA sale fell through and they moved to Seattle? The league would likely move them to the NW and OKC to the SW, and we'd be exchanging the weakest team in the SW for the strongest in the NW.

SW won't stand atop for long.

Mavericks ain't gonna be in a few years once Dirk, Kidd, Maron, & Terry are all retired.

Spurs might follow the same path.

Yeah, people have been saying that for half a decade. Tim is a shadow of his former self, Manu hasn't played 10 games yet, and SA is still on top of the SW, with the Mavs not far behind.
