We reported some exclusive details surrounding Samsung’s upcoming flagship Galaxy S III smartphone this past weekend, and now we have received some more information that helps us paint a more complete picture. And as that picture becomes more clear, this sure looks like the baddest Android smartphone the world hasn’t yet seen. We reported that the new Samsung flagship would launch in a simultaneous fashion across the globe, but we now have some more detailed specifications to report. Ladies and gentlemen, here is the Samsung Galaxy S III:
- 1.5GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos processor
- 4.8-inch “full HD” 1080p resolution with 16:9 aspect ratio display
- A 2-megapixel front-facing camera and an 8-megapixel rear camera
- Ceramic case
- 4G LTE
- Android 4.0
As always, we’ll keep pounding our sources for more information, but we have to say… a Blu-ray display? On a smartphone? We’ll cuddle up with that and some popcorn any night of the week.

Normal smart phones already are hard to fit in Jeans, and that's normal baggy Jeans. Pretty soon Fanny packs are gonna come back just so people can comfortably carry around their phones, lol.
No one knows if Samsung size strategy will work yet, but at least they're trying to see what works.

The Galaxy Nexus already doesnt have a Home Button.
We'll see if the end-to-end screen allows the phone to stay the same size of say, the Galaxy Nexus. If this rumour is true, of course.
by the looks of it, it wont be that much bigger then the nexus.

most of the new phones are getting rid of that sdcard slot, and just charging a arm and a leg for a beefer version when it cost less just to have the sdcard....
whats the point of having 1080 if minimum 16gb storage takes up 1 movie already...

My thing is this, it's a phone, not a tablet. A 4" screen is about the largest it should get because, as a guy, I want to carry it in my pocket. You can make all the skinny jeans jokes you want and I'll fire back with "I need room for my massive " retorts, but the fact is, I don't want to have to feel my phone in my pocket at all times.
The specs are impressive, anyone who says different is just lying to themselves. But also, is there anything out there that will take full advantage of the quad core chip and 1080p screen?
