True that, Phil's the only one that can claim paternity. Pop got the best of him in 03 and Phil Jax always worked with superior talent, though.

Also Gentry and some Mavs coaches, but those coaches didn't go all the way when they eliminated the Spurs. Karl has improved a lot.
Hopefully, Pop has taken notice, but having players in their prime, injuries, and talent as height or athletic ability can't really be coached.
George Karl has been owned by the Spurs for a long time and he has mad respect for Pop and the big 3.
Pop is a rare coach who can claim playoff victories over Phil, Sloan, Larry Brown, Karl, Don Nelson...the only big name coach of this era I cant say he's beat is Riles.
