I believe you have to be on the team when the playoffs start to get a ring. I believe he was actually traded away in the Jackson trade for money purposes.
He did contribute to some wins during the season, but then again so did RJ...anyways do you guys think he should get one?
I know the Redsox gave Nomar a ring the year he got traded and the Sox won the le, have there been similar stories in the NBA?

he should get one,he was forced to retire
I believe you have to be on the team's playoff roster to get one. Though it wouldn't surprise me if they gave one to him....
Assuming of course the Spurs win.
I thought he stay as a consultant or coach
Volunteer coach with the Toros.
He will get a ring. Someone will call him and say "The Spurs won".
that's wrong
Teams can give a ring to whomever they like. My guess is that TJ would get a ring, if the Spurs can pull off number 5.
For TJ, I wouldn't mind at all, IMO. It wasn't his fault he had to retire so early.
RJ? Ummm. NO.
They should make one for Dice.
they could make one for him, but he won't be known as a player that won that champioship.
Yet sadly, Anderson and Joseph technically will be. If the Spurs get #5 this year and Bonner plays in the finals then he can say he earned half his rings.![]()
assuming we actually win it all...
TJ should get a ring, arguably it was his performance in that second half against GSW that got Danny Green going for the rest of the year.
RJ should definitely get a ring. He hit a couple big shots in some big games (the Utah game is all I remember tbh). Most importantly, his departure made us into contenders.
