They overpaid him and he is injury prone, so they wanted to go younger fur the future and unload the contract.
Remember that McGee is a $14mil/yr player
He will be lucky to get the LLE
Doubt the Nuggets shoot that poorly again, although part of that was the Lakers D. This could go 6-7 games if Kobe continues to chuck up 20+ shots though. They need to pound the paint and get to the FT line. 27-15 FTA in favor of the Nugs is unacceptable at home. It's not the refs fault, just poor shot selection on LA's part.
