it depends where that jealousy came from and will lead to....
Males are more prone to settle as such they are more prone to be dating easier chicks cause they don't have to put the work in. (ugly ones) So the ugly ones, (knowing that they got a one in a million shot) know that he'll probably jump ship when he wakes up and realizes he could do better.

id say men get much more jealous. it's a biological adaptation. women as many men as they can, so men won't know who the father is - that way when the child is born, noone threatens the child and everyone does their part in taking care of it because anyone could be the father. therefore, men are more prone to jealousy and spouse guarding to ensure that the child is theirs.
