Meaningless award tbh. A look at who's won it over the years will tell you that.

Spurs have won 50 games 14 years in a row, and have shown incredible resiliency and tenacity through a very tough season that may have been his best coaching overall of all. Once he made the adaptations to the line-up against LAL this was a no brainer IMO.

I think Phil should've won it in 2006. That was Phil's best coaching season since 1991.

Nah, 2000 was by far his best work. Shaq and Kobe were immature s who looked like they were never going to have any kind of team success. Jackson went in there and taught fundamentals from square one to make that disorganised and selfish collection into one of the truly great NBA teams.

'sup Stalin, why isn't it fair? It's as fair as the Soviet tactic of throwing more soldiers at the Nazis than Hitler had bullets.

LOL Im sure Pop would trade it to get one more ring to have half a smany PJ ...

Look, im not gonna diss Pop I think he ia a great coach. Youth coaches lilke myself can learn a lot because his teams runs some of the best sets in ALL of basketball. But stacked teams or not PJ is a great coach. I thought he was overrated (who couldnt win with MJ?) but he is a damn good coach. My 3 all-time favorites: Riles, PJ and Pop. I had Riles first until PJ led us home in 2010 ... IF pop gets another i may have to bump Riles to third ..
