hmmmmm, i have not been downtown at night in sometime so i cannot answer with nothing but speculation. so i will not.
The one and only reason that I don't go downtown at night anymore after Spurs games is because its Ghettoland. Its about 90% of the population there, its sad that those thugs have to tarnish the city at night.

absolutely. a very similar topic was started and executed to near perfection by atlfan and myself. outstanding.
shiiiiiiiitttttttttttt
Good for you stay at home and lock all the doors. What a way to live.
downtown isnt that ghetto, maybe commerce cause of all the cruisers. sa has one of the best downtowns and safest in the country. i dare you to go to any other city, go to downtown houston (was nasty, but changing) their downtowns are nasty and scary.
dowtown sa is fine. where do you hang out under the bridge on 35?
Worst Post Ever?
I love downtown... and the more locals the better. I am white and I don't get bothered because reguardless of the look 99% of the folk are very friendly. They can smell fear though so if your a whimp stay home.... (the white thing is just saying I assumed this original post had racial overtones).
hahah
yes, downtown is ghettoland, and you best keep your ass away, lest you get dealt wif foo.
dude, if your afraid of teens with saggy pants, you got some serious insecurity issues.
if you are afraid of people with real jobs, white people from nebraska, paying for parking and one way streets
ya, this post has shades of racism or sterotyping people, and youre right, try and go to some other big city downtowns, you wont walk out of there..
the people of san antonio are what make this city so great... don't like the people, get the out!
san antonio, "biggest small town in the u.s."
I'd like some verifiable stories of folks walking into other big city downtowns and not walking out, as well as the percentage of people walking in to walking out.
I am not bothered by it down there its great and sometimes those kids give you a good laugh, I've seen much worse places than Downtown SA, back home for instance, nobody speaks English back there especially in my grandmother's neighborhood, its terrible its like little Sicily down there
downtown SA is great i like it.
