I've lost track whether it was 1 or almost 2 years ago it's been so long, but I think a chimp with a metal detector could have gathered $700 by now.

The guy is a dentist so it's like the equivalent of a teacher getting 56 apples stolen. Nothing tragic, but you'd like to see the guy break even after his generousity.

Yes, that is why many are outraged. Duff swore up and down and across the sea he would pay him back. Gave him a 1000 thanks and all that, but with no incentive to pay but his pride and reputation at stake the answer was easy for a guy like Ramon Silva (Duff). He just didn't pay. He's that kind of guy.
