Is this the first time the DPOY did not get selected to the First Team?

How exactly does the dpoy make the 2nd team?
Journalists shouldnt be allowed to vote anymore
LeBron clearly deserves to be in the fisrt team. He has a shot ti be the defensive player of the year. Nobody can guard 4 positions on the court like him.
Kobe is a good joke. At least he's not in the first team.
where's david stern on this list? the way he blocked that cp3 to the lakers trade was a thing of beauty![]()
WOW when will they stop putting Kobe on these teams!
Kobe shuttin down Baby Drew gets him the nod, tbh.
No marion?![]()
Mike Brown should be Defensive Coach of the year, for having such a ty offensive structure that it limits the Lakers' scoring opportunities.
Crappy list. Kobe CAN still play very good defense but hardly does. Rudy Gay CAN be an all NBA defender (quick feet, long arms hops) but he does not get named for his potential to play good defense. They should not award guys based on what they CAN do, but their impact on that end from a CONSISTENT basis.
All these awards are usually e anyway. Just glad they did get MVP right for a change ...
Paul should not be first team either, tbh. They guys is a terror on loopy passes and has improved as a individual but I have seen him torched plenty 1 on1 ... his best defensive skills are as a helper ..
1st Team
G Rondo
G Allen
F Lebron
F Ibaka
C Chandler
Also I will take an I told you so on tony allen. I told peeps on here that he was one of the best defenders in the game back, when he was on the Celts. Scros on here tried to say I was inflating his value because, he defended Kobe well. I was a Tony Allen type in HS, a streaky shooter but a rugged defender with quick hands and hops. I saw myself in him, (but at a higher level obviously).
Im most proud of being right about Westbrook, Rose and Tony Allen the guys I have stuck up for on here (and at work, or at the barber shop) the most outside of Kobe & Lebron (lately)
Thanks for tha clarification, brah.
Patting your own back WHILE sucking your own is quite a talent.Im most proud of being right about Westbrook, Rose and Tony Allen the guys I have stuck up for on here (and at work, or at the barber shop) the most outside of Kobe & Lebron (lately)
Prahps.
DPOY on the second team![]()
Rondo is easily a better defender than Paul.
I'm blessed poonsie. You would have to take yoga for over a decade and displace your spine to accomplish that ...
BTW, did I offend? Were you one of the folks that doubted me?![]()
What a ing cubscout badge this has turned out to be.
Kobe
And where is Marion?
Kobe Bryant on the list is BY FAR the biggest travesty and that's saying something since the DPOY was on the second team.
