it'd be classy if it was a dead ball. Can't say I'm a fan of him doing it during live play.

You can be classy and a hornball at same time.

I am even conflicted about doing it during deadballs. Your wasting some of your precious energy to help the other team and thereby helping them save energy.

Ya I have seen Timmy doing it in the Utah and Clippers series too.

Think tony had help his friend chris paul in the Clippers series too.

Never really see Manu do it though.

I saw that during the game, I even had to rewind it to show my brother who miss it, even though we were watching the same big screen.

Meh...I'd be more of a fan if he'd save that for a dead play. I think he thought the Spurs had it in the bag and his natural instinct was to give him a hand up.

I remember Drob trying to help someone up during a game (Spurs were in transition break after a turnover) and Larry Brown went ballistic on the sidelines - dropped F-bombs the Admiral's way. Get the F! down the court!!! LOL. I have to agree with that sentiment. Let the opposing players get up on their own.

There's nothing classy about it at all. I agree about the Manu statement earlier too. You won't likely catch him doing any of that. It's not in his DNA.
Tim does it all the time. If you hit or knock someone to the ground unintentionally, I get it. It's only natural to lend a hand, but being overly friendly to your opponent isn't necessary.

I took it as a sign of dominance and pity. RW was probably embarrassed and/or humbled...or maybe not at all.

I mean we had already won and the game was over. Westbrook played a huge part in us winning and for the game being over at that point so why not help him up? After all like I said, he did help us right?

I think Tony's just cool like that, tbh. Nothing calculated or trying to show off his classiness or whatever--just helping a fellow professional to his feet in the heat of battle, and goes right back to defending. Props to Parker.

He was just preventing Westbrook from doing another drama queen scene.
