I remember when he predicted the Utah Jazz to be the champions in 2009 when the Lakers were kicking ass. His prediction lasted 5 games in the first round.
He looks at the stats and sees his power rankings based on his formula and he just throws it out there. I doubt he even shows up to work, his computer is doing everything automatically based on the latest stats. Probably generates his articles too by random web searches and creative rewording.
