Cuz all things considered, he's a defender.
..to have success without Derek Fisher?..
we hear a lot about Shaq, now we see how Kobe needs Gasol, which is evident in games like tonight's where Gasol is being double teamed..but why doesn't Derek Fisher get more love in this regard?..Kobe seems so struggle heavily without Derek Fisher next to him..any theories?..
Fisher's record as a Laker: 526-211(0.826)..
Kobe's record as a Laker: 649-323(0.668)..
Derek Fisher has made it to the 2nd round or better in every season he's ever been with the Lakers..
the Lakers have only been eliminated in the 1st round twice since the Shaq era began and have only missed the playoffs once during that time span..those were the only 3 years that Derek Fisher wasn't a Laker..
Fisher returned to the Lakers in 2007-2008, and they've made the Finals in every year since then..
Kobe's record without Fisher is 112-111: .500 ball..
Kobe has never made it past the 1st round without Derek Fisher..that's kind of pathetic for a guy that is considered to be the player of the decade from many popular media outlets..
any theories as to why Kobe's legacy needs Fisher?..it sounds crazy, but the numbers don't lie..
Kobe also has never succeeded in the playoffs without raping a few white hoes the nights before.
sons the fact is that Kobe is and always has been an EXCELLENT role player, but he is very far from being a leader.
Same as:
MJ couldn't do caca without Pippen.
Wade can't do caca without Daddy.
Spurs can't repeatPERIOD
I hope this is a joke.
Same as:
Mavs can't do caca in history.
Suns can't get shut of the NBA Old Maid Card.
LeBron ain't rang 7 years in.
Its true though I've noticed this as well! He's tight with Fish and he always says they came into the league together so they know each other n what not... plus Fish is pretty in clutch as well...
Probably one of those things you can't explain, and as much as I'd like to say it does, I really dont think it reflects on boi ..
If you honestly think Kobe needs Derek Fisher then you've lost your mind.
in OP must be thinking of Kobe 24/7 to make up this bull .
Its not that Kobe can't play without Fisher, its Kobe can't play when Smush Parker is running the point and I don't think anyone can....
Oh, my God.
Magic couldn't do it without Kurt Rambis either. Ever notice that he never won another championship after they let Clark Kent go in the expansion draft?![]()
Kobe doesn't need Fisher to be successful, the Lakers however do. Kobe has to have a player that he trusts. Tacker touched on it. Kobe took three years to realize that without trusting your team mates, you can't win. It took Jordan 7 years to figure that out. Fisher and Kobe have been thru battles this decade and they became very good friends with the utmost respect for each other. Robert Horry was another player that Kobe trusts and would have been able to keep Kobe humble. You will never see Kobe go off on fisher for not passing him the ball like you did with Jordan and Pippen. If you watched last nights game you saw Kobe taking left handed shots when he was hurting (to this day I don't know why Jackson does not take Kobe out when he's like that) All of his team mates were still looking for him and he was still asking for the ball. The Lakers inserted Fisher and when Kobe was calling for the ball, he ignored him and looked for Gasol instead. Kobe didn't say a word. Could you imagine what would have been the at ude of KB if it would have been anyone other than Fisher who did that? That's why I do not underestimate Fishers contributions to the Lakers. He is a very important Laker and getting rid of him should be the farthest thing from the lakers minds.
Matzel, Matzel, good things, Lake.
Kobe can't win without fisher, yo!
Much better this way... Although I think the answer is pretty obvious...Why has Derek Fisher been unable..
..to have success without Kobe?..
Kobe, or any other player (see James, LeBron), will never have success by himself. He'll always need to have good players around him, like Shaq or Pau Gasol. Derek Fisher is a decent point guard, so that doesn't hurt either...
We have to be careful with the numbers...
For example, what 2003 draft pick had the biggest effect on his team?
James? Wade? Bosh? Anthony? Any of these superstars?
Well, Milicic was the only one who won a NBA championship in his rookie year.
It's a true fact, but it would be the wrong conclusion...![]()
...then you woke up.
Has anyone else noticed culburn is changing his posting style up? I think he's about to do what he did to those Suns boards.
And what is that?
...three peated.
tee, hee.
Posted pictures of gay porn, rape, people's personal info all kinds of stuff. He tried to get one person fired from their job. He shut a Suns board down. Notice he doesn't have an avatar, sig, or posts pictures. Kori won't let him. He just started posting youtubes a while ago.
Watch, he's gonna post something now like it'll never end, lmaovictorious or something.
