It appears that KG is considering retirement..he's an unrestricted Free Agent..could a call from Duncan and Popovich change his mind, tbh?..

Garnett, even at this age, would give the Spurs the defensive big man that they desperately need, in addition to providing the spacing that Popovich loves..

KG would be phenomenal in a pass-first system, too..

that. If KG joined the Spurs, I'd have to root against my own team so that purchase punk doesn't get near another le.

    And Duncan hates him anyway.

Duncan is one of the most professional players in NBA history, tbh..

I doubt he would allow any ill-feelings to get in the way of a legit chance at a le..Garnett would easily help the Spurs defeat OKC in a 7-game series IMO..

KG won't go to SA. Can't think he would retire. I thought Allen would retire.

Duncan would probably be fine with it once Pop talks him into it but never happen... KG would have to play for nothing, lets not forget Duncan needs a new contract..

Spurs will have the MLE ($5M). Don't know if KG will be willing to accept that.

I'd take Garnett in a heartbeat. KG on the Spurs would be an absolute perfect fit for both the Spurs and KG.

Extremely unlikely to happen but he should be the first free agent the Spurs contact.

No way does kg take the mle. If he would, he could probably go to other places with a better chance to win.

Garnett will have earned over 300 million $ following this contract IIRC..

I doubt money is still a primary factor IMO..

KG and the Spurs are an absolutely perfect fit, as timvp said..not only basketball-wise, but he would add some intensity to a team that often lacks toughness and life..

The Spurs would have 2 of the greatest passing big men in the NBA in their starting lineup..while they're both past their primes, they're still 2 of the best defensive players in the NBA, and their age could be negated by an inferior offensive role, which would be the case if they were playing together..

Their frontcourt would consist of 2 very good mid-range shooters, and 2 very good pick&roll players to compliment Parker and Ginobili..

I love you guys but why do some make stupid threads and put a ? behind it like they heard it and it had some merit when it is just something that passed through their mind at home? This is a joke man, come on he is not going to be a Spur nor never will.

As a backup center? At this point KG and TD are both better suited for playing center.

Don't be so sure. According to a source it's been looked at already.
