Its a good game. Graphically its going to be a bit behind but its not anything that would detract from the game. Mechanically its not far off from the current stuff. Overall I consider it a top 25 game.
Was too busy when this came out to ever play it. Have been meaning for years to get to it. Finally bought it and the second one yesterday. I'm hoping that it holds up after 5 years have gone by.
I've heard nothing but high praise for the game so I'm hoping that I don't have it too built up.

Good game. Best played in the dark with a surround sound system, ala Doom. You can really get into. Little demon girls and creepy sounds around every corner. Really draws you in.
I never really got into the second one and quit in the middle. I might pick up the new one when it comes out because they've had a ton of time to redo everything.
Yeah, the sound is spectacular in Bioshock. The music is top-notch too.
First one was great, the second one wasn't developed by the same guy so it was nowhere near as good.
Never played the second but the first bioshock was the last game I played nonstop for an entire weekend, its good brah
Why are you asking how it is after you bought it? Just play it.
Because I had my evening plans narrowed down to playing Bioshock or ing your mom again.
But seriously, I got it for $8 yesterday. Was going to give it a shot tonight and just curious as to what everyone's take on it was. If enough people said it was outdated and wouldn't stack up to today's games, I might do something else instead. Would eventually get to the game...or not...
In any event, the few comments have made me pretty excited to play.

Not on live but thinking about it. Stepson graduated so I'm taking over his Xbox and moving it to the living room. Looking forward to playing something other than Wii.
