So, Roy Hibbert, you gotta ask yourself somethin'. Big men and guys named Roy have trouble with 'dem knees up in Rip City. You gonna get yours, but at what cost? Think long and hard, sir.

Had to know Portland would do something like this. At least it's on 25% of BRI, correct? Hibbert only has one ASG appearance, and thus isn't eligible for the 30% of BRI, I think. Either way is way too much for him, since he's not some 22 year old with lots of potential. Hibbert is everything he ever will be right now, which is a really solid but not great center.

I would imagine Batum is gone if Indiana doesn't match?

Not necessarily. They could still offer Batum something starting at up to about $11-$12 million or so. The Blazers have boatloads of capspace this season.

i like hibbert but max? not so much.. Indiana will probably match regardless, and either way portland can still keep batum as long someone dont go all out for him

It's overpaying, but there is no other decent option in this lousy class.

That's why teams are better off not overpaying.

Max contract if offered by Indy would be for 5 years with 7.5% annual raises. Portland can offer 4 years with 4.5% annual raises. If Hibbert signs the offer sheet, Indy will almost certainly match.

The Rockets and blazers net with Omer Asik last night. If Indy matches, Portland might turn that way as well.

Nice to be in Hibbert's shoes. Duncan should get a case of DnD figures in his mailbox tbh.

What is Indy's cap space? This would be a huge chunk for a one time ALL STAR.

It was a joke how he made the All-Star team over centers like Noah and Chandler who i would take over him.
