Unfortunately for him he doesnt get the touches his talent deserves since Kobe has to 'eat first'.

Jordan getting his pushed back in
I'm hoping that changes this year. Brown brought the Spurs' Twin Tower Offense to LA and says we will utilize our bigs early and often. I'm pretty optimistic that Drew will have a big year for a few reasons:
- It's his contract year. He knows whether he is paid by LA, Orlando, or whoever, he's getting paid. 15/12 the first game against the Clips. If he makes the 6 FTs he missed he has 21/12. 26/11 in the second game. They couldn't deal with him.
- Lakers have shooters now. Murphy, Kapono, Fisher, and (streaky) Kobe will be the primary snipers that will open the lane up for Drew to do damage down low. I even saw Gasol launch a few jumpers from downtime. Blake was on fire tonight, but I don't expect him to shoot that well that much this year.
- Speaking of Blake, I hope he starts. I know he is not an elite PG by any stretch, but he is able to feed the post - unlike that 67 year old PG we have.
This summer was the first time he was able to work out instead of rehab since 2007. Tonight is just a glimpse of what he can do IMO. He did this damage in 31 minutes. Brown says he will play him at least 35 mpg this year. If that happens (and he gets his touches), he will have many 20/10/2+ games this year.
Yeah that was good to see.![]()
s might find his ego doesn't even compare to the Kobester's this season.
He should be their #1 option, if Kobe admits he can no longer carry a team, which won't happen IMO..

Ain't nobody stoppin' Bynum. They're all grown men. All he has to do is act like somebody.
Bynum looked pretty good. He and Pau were fairly dominant on the boards. If they get any semblance of flow, they will be tough to contend with.
But it does come down to Kobe's flailing attempts to get points. Teams want him shooting the ball much more than they want Bynum in the paint and at the line. If Kobe decides to become more of a facilitator, he would probably climb the ring ladder another notch.

The Skunker!!!
We own it. It's ours.
Bynum might be challenging Howard for DPoY if his knee doesn't explode. Sadly, it's a big if.
