so, there's a silver lining to Monday not being televised prime time on the major networks -- Romney not being shown up by RP before the largest audience.
it's all part of the media conspiracy!
Romney May Be Nominated Early
Some supporters of Mr. Paul also have been pushing to make their voices heard during the roll call vote. Mr. Paul, the libertarian Texas congressman whose presidential bid fell short, won a majority of delegates from Iowa, Minnesota and Nevada, but not enough state delegations to require that his name be placed into nomination.
While Mr. Paul’s advisers have worked behind the scenes with the Romney campaign for months, several supporters have signaled their interest in making their admiration known for Mr. Paul on the convention floor. The Romney campaign has worked through most of the concerns, but still preferred officially calling the roll of delegates on Monday, when television networks were not planning to broadcast the convention to diminish the potential for any fireworks.

So much for having a democratic republic, tbh..... and congratulations on 4 more years, Obama.....
"fell short"
euphemism for failed .... again
How many planks did RP get in the extreme right wing sociopathic "Christian" Repug platform?![]()
people's prejudice against the old has gone beyond normal imho, e.g. guys on this site hate the internet legend cully for no reason, or because they all got their asses pwned by the witty do if there's any reason. if Reagan was a candidate today rather than 30yrs ago he'd have never won presidency imho. people have shown a continuous interest in young presidents since clinton for some odd reason, guys like clinton, obama and GWB all got first elected in their early 50s imho
So it appears that they are moving the state roll call to Monday when the national networks are not broadcasting it.
lemons --> lemonade
Didn't Ron Paul get booed for mentioning the Golden Rule?
Corruption at it's finest
The silver lining is that we don't have to hear the Jehovah's Witness like spam fest from Ron Paul supporters. That in itself is worth it.
Got nothing against Paul, agree with a lot of what he says, but his suggestions would never bear fruit and he would be pretty much a lame duck for 4 years with a Dem and Rep led congress.
Okay, Debbie Downer.
RNC gives Ron Paul the shaft, and now mother nature is giving the RNC the shaft. Monday's festivities have been canceled thanks to Tropical Storm Isaac.
Ron Paul "We are the Future" Rally - Live from USF Sun Dome - Tampa, Florida
So you'd rather listen to the brainless "HUSSEIN IS ONE OF THEM THAR BLACK KENYAN COMMIE MUZLUMS, BAIN CAPITAL GIVES CANCER TO OLD LADIES AND STARVES THE POOR WHILE MITT HOARDS HIS CASH" spew? At least us Paulites are bringing some facts and logic to the table, tbh....
lol "some facts"
Ron Paul going on in less than 10 minutes on this live feed.![]()
No, I'd rather not read any of that, but Ron Paul people remind me of people pushing a product that's never going to make it. They sound like they just came from a pep rally. Ron Paul has some good ideas, but they are weighed down by his ridiculous, impossible to ever implement ideas.
Pull out of Afghanistan? Sure, but Paul has to go further by pulling out of every base in the world. Our system is such that a presidential candidate talks about revamping the entire country which cannot possibly be done under his watch, so he's automatically free from blame when nothing gets done. They always talk about the next term, or how the next in their party will tackle that.
I would rather talk about things we can do something about than sit around talking about flighty fantasies of world change.
Except Paul has never promised to change everything in 4-8 years like most politicians do.... his goals are to gradually start the transition back to a small Cons utional government with preliminary things (like ending our current wars and allowing competing currencies), and to change the hearts and minds of the American people so that they can continue to fix America after he leaves office, tbh.....
Of course it will take more than one or two terms to make things right, but electing people who run on pla udes and will just keep the status quo isn't a solution....
God is clearly pissed they nominated a moderate.
A moderate or lite liberal posing as a neo-con.
