I do think most cops started out with good intentions then as time goes on and they see just how totally ed up people actually are they change.
Porterville is a town of about 60,000 yet we have at least a dozen homeless people pushing shopping carts around loaded down with junk. All look dirty and nothing in the eyes. Why they are allowed to roam the streets....???

You can literally see his ear start turning blue as the cop has his knee jammed on the back of his rib cage. What kind of training are this guy's receiving?? Common sense tells you that if you put your weight down on top of people, your probably going to in kill them by suffocating them, esp if they are fatasses, on drugs, or skinny people. There's no need to pile up on people to subdue them. Cuff the legs along with the hands and that individual will not be going anywhere. No need to pile up on someone for 20 mins waiting for backup to arrive.
Why does that POS keep his knee and full weight pressed on his back after he stops moving and then even after the paramedic gives him the sedative? I don't think they intended to kill him but still there has to be consequences for it, tbh.
The video is a little confusing as it's difficult to hear all the audio and it keeps cutting back to text. The text says he was given a "powerful sedative" by the paramedic but then they are talking about giving him Narcan - a narcotic reversal agent, the exact opposite of a sedative.
That said, I give law enforcement a lot of grace when others are bashing them because these individuals put their own lives on the line every time they suit up and are expected to make split second decisions that scrutinized for years. But keeping your knee in somebody's back for 10-15 minutes after he's already restrained and calm is really ed up. Nobody could breath in that position for very long. He should've been allowed to at least sit once he was done struggling. And the laughing and joking the whole time was really unprofessional as well.
They should all be fired and have their pensions revoked in addition to being charged. I'd settle for the former.
