We are two weeks away from player meeting and training. Lebron/Kobe/Durant look to be the alpha males of the team...with Lebron leading the team.

    Go Team USA!

Should Westbrook be in the team? I-I-I-I have him in my preferential 12-man rotation.

It's between him and D-will. Both players bring a certain advantage to Team USA in these international compe ions, IMO.

D-Will is a great distributor, and a decent knock down outside shooter. Not always looking to shoot which is a positive on a team filled with otherworldly talent.

Westbrook looks to have vastly improved his outside shot inside the three point line. Plus, the athleticism he brings to international compe ions is unmatched by world compe ion at his position. The one negative is he's proven to be a chucker... Is that something I want on a team with ball demanding superstars? Not really. I do think though that he couldn't be stupid enough to ignore Bron, Kobe, and KD on this level.

As much as i despise his game, I think James Harden would be a nice addition to the team...he plays like a poor man's ginobili.

Still gotta enjoy basketball, especially with all this talent on one team. Gonna be an interesting Olympic's tournament for team USA. This is arguably the most talent they've brought from a backcourt/mid-court point of view.

Deron Williams is a better player than Russell Westbrook, and much better fitting to a team full of stars. Really shouldn't even be a discussion, imo.

Yes, Deron is a better fit to a team of stars...but Westbrook's ability to score on less athletic compe ion (as evidently shown back in the 2010 WC) cannot go ignored.

Probably won't happen though. I think team USA desperately needs some legit bigs. Tyson Chandler is very good at the international level, but Anthony Davis? Not sure about his ability, he's unproven on both the NBA and international level.

What'll probably happen is they'll put rotate Bosh and Chandler at the post with Love and Griffin rotating at the PF. Lebron can also play PF in international compe ion.

Too many weapons in the backcourt/small forward.

USA lost in 2002,2004 and 2006 because they don't have enough shooters to break the zone defense.

With players like Kobe,Durant,Melo,CP3,Gordon,Love,Bosh,Westbrook... that's not a problem. They can score easily from 6/7 metres

In the paint only Spain with Marc/Pau/Ibaka has a great frontcourt, surely as good as USA if players like Howard,Bynum, even Duncan are out.

These aren't the 90s with Robinson,Olajuwon,Shaq,Ewing,Mourning...Barkley,Ma lone,Kemp... Those teams were too good in the paint

Now the frontcourt is not where USA have the bigger advantage but they don't need it

    USA wil win easily
