Let this be a reminder that the curse is still in effect
If you were a 7'2 center with Shaq potential and you could only sign to Blazers or Bobcats for basketball reasons, which team would you pick?
Let's assume this is a 4 year deal, no possibility to get traded for basketball reasons.
Go to a cursed franchise or go to a dead end franchise?

Bobcats, I want to be able to still walk by the time my contract is up.
Bobcats. At least I have a chance to turn that franchise around and cement my place in NBA history. Not turn my knees ing backwards.
I'd sign with Portland. Paul Allen's team may be cursed but he's dedicated to surround you with talent. Bobcats, not so much. Small market, limited budget and Jordan is your owner. Can you imagine this guy shoving his basketball wisdom down your throat, the real "Jordan" way?
Bobcats, free hanes for 4 years? yes
Bobcats because I wouldn't want to split post touches with LaMarcus Aldridge, and in 4 years I could leave and go sign somewhere else for max money after I padded my stats in Charlotte.
If it's about winning, then obviously Portland is the only choice. At least free agents have been proven to want to go there at times, plus they seem to actually almost put together decent teams occaisionally.
i feel mj would piss me off.. id go to portland
at least i don't have to join minny, i'll be happy either way
Bobcats. If I am going to play for a losing team, I'd prefer one I could actually have fun and make a difference with. Also, I couldn't stomach Tlong cheering for me.
Who would risk their knees on Portland when they are a legit 7'2 center? Supers ion or not, Blazers have injuries so consistently you have to wonder if god just hates them or their medical staff graduated from UTSA medical school.
Microbrew Haven in Portland or Carolina BBQ...
Southern chicks vs. Hipster Hairy hoes...
Flannel vs. Seersucker
No-cartilege Knees vs. being relegated behing North Carolina, Duke, NC State, UNC Charlotte...and so on.
I'd go with Charlotte since there is less expectations on me from the start and to build up the fanbase a la OKC would be dopeness.
Bobcats. I'd rather play than be injured. If I'm going to suck then at least let me play.
Bobcats, easily. You get jays, hanes, and a chance of turning the franchise around... And if that doesn't work out as everyone has said, at least I'll still be able to walk.
