I'm sure Karl Rove cares what Democrats think of him.
I mean, he's already their anti-Christ.
Besides, what he said is true.
Dems Furious with Rove for 9/11 Remarks

White House adviser Karl Rove should either apologize or resign for saying liberals responded to the Sept. 11 terrorist strikes by wanting to "prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers," Democrats said Thursday.
Adding to the rancor, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., suggested that Republican charges that Democrats were undermining the war on terror with their criticism of administration policies amounted to an act of desperation.

"The president wanted to go to Iraq in the worst possible way and he did," Pelosi said. "The president is on the ropes."
Bush's chief political adviser, Rove said in a speech Wednesday that "liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers." Conservatives, he told the New York state Conservative Party just a few miles north of Ground Zero, "saw the savagery of 9/11 and the attacks and prepared for war."
Rove said the Democratic Party made the mistake of calling for "moderation and restraint" after the terrorist attacks.
Democrats were quick to respond - and in growing numbers.
"Karl Rove should immediately and fully apologize for his remarks or he should resign," Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said in a statement. "I hope the president will join me in repudiating these remarks."
Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean called on Bush to "show some leadership and unequivocally repudiate Rove's divisive and damaging political rhetoric."
The White House defended Rove's remarks and accused Democrats of engaging in partisan attacks. Rove, said spokesman Scott McClellan, "was talking about the different philosophies and our different approaches when it comes to winning the war on terrorism."
During a Senate hearing on Iraq in which Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld and other military leaders testified, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., read Rove's statement and urged them to reject the remarks.
"I would hope that you and other members of the administration would immediately repudiate such an insulting comment from a high-ranking official in the president's inner circle," Clinton said.
Earlier in the day, Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., said New York has had unity since Sept. 11. "To inject politics into this and to defame a large number of people" is outrageous, he said. "It's not what New York and America is all about."
Sen. Frank Lautenberg, D-N.J., said nearly 3,000 Americans died on Sept. 11 and "we should not dishonor their memory by using that tragic day for political trash talk."
Three days after the terrorist attacks, the Senate voted 98-0 and the House voted 420-1 for a resolution authorizing Bush to use "all necessary and appropriate force" against those responsible for the terrorism. After the votes, Bush said in a statement: "I am gratified that the Congress has united so powerfully by taking this action. It sends a clear message - our people are together, and we will prevail."
During the 2004 campaign, Bush dismissed the notion of negotiating with terrorists and said, "You can't sit back and hope that somehow therapy will work and they will change their ways."
On Wednesday, Rove also denounced Sen. Durbin's comments comparing interrogation at the Guantanamo Bay prison camp to the methods of Nazis and other repressive regimes. He said the statements have been broadcast throughout the Middle East, putting U.S. troops in greater danger. The Illinois Democrat has since apologized for the remarks.
"No more needs to be said about the motives of liberals," Rove said.
Seven House Republicans also wrote Pelosi saying they were shocked by a statement in which she said the war in Afghanistan was over. "Messages like yours could demoralize our troops and undermine our efforts to fight terrorism in Afghanistan and around the world," they wrote.
Pelosi, who made the comment at a news conference where Democrats called for an investigation into detainee abuses at Guantanamo Bay, said Thursday that she was referring to the campaign to drive the Taliban from power in 2001. Fighting continues, she said, because the administration decided to divert its attention from Afghanistan to the war in Iraq.

Captain Hook's Take: THANK GOD a prominent republican speaks out about the truth of liberals. Since the war on terror began we saw more things come out of the mouths of liberals that terrorists would agree with than things they would oppose. Take a look, the mainstream media will give Howard Dean a pass but will shred Rove.
I'm sure Karl Rove cares what Democrats think of him.
I mean, he's already their anti-Christ.

Hook you need to quit buying what Rush, the Weekly Standard, NewsMax et al is selling you hook line and sinker.
When 9/11 happened, liberals, conservatives and moderates stood together.....stood with the president in demanding justice for the atrocity that occurred.
Bush took that unified nation and cleaved it into two rather than exacting the justice we all demanded.
First a war on terror was announced, not declared. Of course terror is not a sovereign nation so the results can no more be quantified than the war on drugs. Terrorism is the act of the most desparate souls. They have no country, they have no standing army and you don't really know who is and isn't one. As Bush himself said last year during the campaign, you can't really win the war on terror. Really all you can do is contain and prevent as much of it as you can. Punish and eliminate those who commit it. Keep it from growing by winning the war of ideas.
Problem is, the Busheviks took it a step further and chose to invade a nation on trumped up charges. 9/11 was exploited and people were scared into supporting this part of the "war on terror". So we really have two wars.
Americans have a quandry. They support the efforts of this government to fight those who would attack us via terrorists acts. Clearly they do not support the occupation of Iraq and the war that rages on their.
Our efforts to fight terrorism are being seriously hindered by the Busheviks miscalculation on Iraq. Not only have resources been diverted from Afghanistan and the general war on terror but our current military is stretched thin and recruiting is down dramatically.
The administration realizes this and should know that is the true "poll" on America's feeling about Iraq. Rove wastes his breath taking a shot at liberals when he should be asking Americans to volunteer to serve in the military.
American's aren't even asked to pay for this war in Iraq. Rather than pass on some of the cost by reducing the size of the tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans the deficit is added too and our childeren will have to pay for this mistake financially as well as politically as more terrorists are created thanks in large part to the incompetence of people like Rove.
Rove knows Americans do not believe in this war enough to pay higher taxes. He knows American's do not believe in this war enough to volunteer themselves or their children to go fight in it. So if Americans are not willing to go fight in this war and are not willing to pay for it, no matter what the yellow magnet sticker on the back of your car says, your actions tell the real tale.
It is a shame. Bush could have called upon Americans to roll up their sleeves and lets go get those who did that to us and he did say that. But it was a classic bait and switch. Volunteer to avenge the actions of 9/11, get sent to an emasculated Iraq for a bloody occupation.
Finally, Rove claims liberals wanted to understand the people that did this to us. I plead guilty to that myself. You do need to understand your enemy to defeat them. You don't just use force. These guys are like mercury. You club them and they scatter into several directions but are unharmed. You have to prevent others from converting to their way of thinking. That is part of fighting a more sensitive war but Rove ridiculed that logic as well.
I guess someone who never served in the military much less battle might have difficulty understanding that.
Rove is a campaign consultant and that is what he does well. Unethically, but well. Anyway, running a country and managing a war are different from managing a primary in campaign. Rove doesn't have any idea how to do what his job is today so he reverts back to what has worked for him in the past. Distort and lie about what Democrats say and try to divide us, rather than unite us.
Go to Karl.
For about a week.
all liberals wanted was for the right country to be attacked...and Bush ed that up too
CLASSIC that sums up everything i could say about the iraq war
well besides the cost
You cannot deny that there was a lot of posturing in front of the cameras by prominent democrats stating that "Bush Knew" that the attack on 9/11 was coming and did nothing to stop it. That is the "prepare indictments".
I found the WMD's!
In Nancy Pelosi's face hahahahaha
Rove can speak his mind. It just shows those all sides think and say stupid things.![]()
They just want it to fail bad... it's not helping the troops or the iraqi people right now to cry and want to leave... Reguardless of how we got into the war. If people wanted us out they should of got off there lazy ass and voted for Kerry.
Rumor has it about 59 million people did vote for Kerry.
And for all those who support Bush's decision to go to war they should get off their lazy asses and enlist in the military.
That would actually imply support for the war. They support the effort in Iraq with their mouths and bumperstickers, don't want to really have to get one's hands dirty helping freedom along on it's march.![]()
Asshole, I did and many on this board have. We cant help 59 million were not that well informed. Keep supporting the dim-o-craps. You talk
thru you ass. I would go there in a min if they would take me. Unlike
the people of your ilk I support and love my country and even when
your -sucking president was there I would support our country.
Stick it up your rear end
