That's something that should be investigated by the NCAA. Sounds like a gimmick obvious GPA booster to keep him eligible. Chances are each independent study was something along the lines of "Write a 1-2 page double spaced report about the oppression Samuel L. How in the does UNC still have a football program? They come up on some shady stuff about once every 3 years.
Also, it looks like that transcript belongs to a pretty well rounded individual who has a thirst for knowledge outside of their own culture
