I'd be worried about LBJ at the PF if he a potent post game. But Bosh v. D12 in a 7-game series?![]()
LINKChris Bosh is adding six pounds of muscle to prepare for the rigors of playing a full season at center.
Bosh’s move to center would allow Erik Spoelstra to play LeBron James more at power forward, giving the Heat mismatch advantages on both ends of the floor.
Bosh was listed at 235 pounds last season, his second with the Heat.

What's there to discuss? He'll be a undersized center who'll get his a$$ handed to him. Gasol, Duncan, Stoudermire and Garnett were PF's who played centers and even they couldn't play the position full time.
At present, the league has 4-5 true centers: Perkins, Marc Gasol, Howard, and Randolph.
Are you forgetting Baby Drew? I can't wait to see him guard Bynum in the post.
About three from the list you have either suck or not a center.
Would anyone count Roy Hibbert or Andrew Bogut a true center?
He will be in tears after about 6 games.
our perimeter D will make up for it imho and its not like DH is a consistent scoring option like the prime shaq or anything close. playing bosh at C and bron PF will make room for either ray allen or lewis in the starting 5 which will help space the floor and make it easier for bron and wade to score
I cannot vouch for Randolph because he's a fat bum. The other three are pretty legit though.
Watch this experiment blow up in Phili 's face.
yes.
so is camby
and dalembert
and mcgee
and chandler
and jordan
and op is a got
it didn't last season...
You can't have fat Gasol in there when you don't have Chandler nor Bynum.
They won a championship with Bosh playing center
Chalmers/Wade/Battier/James/Bosh were the starting 5 .
D12 is playing with Nash - not Jameer Nelsn. in today's NBA, if he gets the amount of touches, you'll swear he was Shaq (+ great defense). He put up 20/14 playing with Nels
n. You don't think he'll do at least that with the Lakers? By the way, perimeter D won't stop a potent inside game.
Back on topic. Bosh at 5. Bron at 4. Does that mean Battier starts? If, good luck with him battling an in shape MWP. And when Kobe starts torching Battier and they try to put LBJ or Wade on him, that will cause more mismatches in the Lakers' favor (especially rebounding). No rebounds, no rings.
By the way, word on the street is D12 began training at the Lakers' training facilities.
Bottom line, Mimi = F
cked if the play Bosh at center v. Lakers. Do it Spo!

Fascinating take. Tell me more.![]()
Bosh (good high post player) was being guarded by Porkins (good low post defender). Bad matchup. D12 can guard Bosh but I doubt Bosh can do the same.
bron playing the 4 makes up for any tiny loss of bosh playing the 5.
plus, bosh won't need to guard howard, kobrick ain't giving up that rock.
it isn't like we have many better options at C when our next best big is what... Haslem, Turiaf or maybe Joel Anthony?maybe we can make some moves to strengthen our C after the season begins if it doesn't work to play bosh at C. monkeyball worked against OKC last season but i doubt the lakers will be that easy to beat tbh
but it doesn't mean the lakers have replaced us as the favorite, we're still the team to beat and we'll hold a better odd of winning a best-of-7 series against lakers rather than losing it if the series begins right now. we got some cold-blooded shooters that the lakers have no solution to, let alone our main guys like bron/wade who'll beat your asses for fun tbh
Why? The center position blows nowadays... it's not like they're sending Bosh out to get shat on by Hakeem, Ewing, Shaq, DRob, Zo, and Mutombo, tbh....
bosh played great on the biggest stage in nba, i aint worried, tbh
