Who else here saw this? Joss Whedon's been on a role lately. This movie was a hilarious parody of slasher films. People have to be brain dead to still enjoy slashers anyway, since they are so boring and formulaic.

Don't think this movie was so much a parody of slasher films, as it was a love letter to the horror genera. I thought it was great. We need more Lovecraft represented in cinema.

The movie constantly made fun of slasher movie tropes. It basically said that the characters in those movies have to be on drugs to behave the way they do.

Movie was awesome and definitely a love letter to the horror genre. I would have loved it if they had the rights to all of the horror movie villains and mosters they portrayed in this flick. Imagine seeing Pin Head, Jason, Mike Myers, Freddy, Pumpkinhead, Pennywise (clown for IT) et al....that would have been legendary.
