I have been searching the internets for the the last couple of days looking for a good somewhat(hopefully) affordable body shop/car shop that can give me a free estimate on both of my windows and body damage on the passenger door.
About my car, I drive an ancient 1998 Honda Civic Ex 2 door and I live in the McKinney-Plano area. I've put thousands of dollars into getting it repaired. Yes, I know. I should have bought another car a long long time ago. I can't magically do that right now.

Here are the problems with my junker that I want a trained mechanic to look at:
1). The driver side window will not roll up or down at all. It's basically rolled up with about an inch or two of space. That means that air and moisture get into my car any time when there is precipitation, fog, and dew. When I park my car, I have to pick up the window on the left and right side of the window and pull it up to make sure doesn't get inside. Of course, that is only a temporary unreliable solution since air and moisture still get inside. I have noticed that the smallest crack between the window and the door frame can let air and moisture in. This problem has been a problem for about 8 or 9 years. I have just been lazy, stupid, and cheap to fix the problem and I've also had to repair 6 tires, the catalytic converter 3 times, the muffler, and get new sparklugs and belts for the engine.
2). The passenger side window is starting to get the driver side window except I still have functionality of the window. I can still roll it up and down. The catch is when I try to roll it up to the top, it starts rattle and seems like its off the track with about maybe an inch or half of an inch of a gap between the window and the door frame. I basically don't mess with the passenger window because I don't want to make the problem worse.
3). There is somewhat significant body damage on the part of the passenger side door where it meets the section that covers the front tire on that section. When I open the passenger door, metal from the passenger door and the covering of the front tire section are being rubbed up against.

The man that has fixed my car numerous times said that he would charge me close to 400 dollars to have the driver side window fixed. I need a cheaper cost than that. I have checked online and some estimates are in that range but then some are sheap. NAPA online gave me a rough estimate between 250 and 400 and that was for parts and labor.
I don't know that much about cars so I don't know if it's the motor or regulator.
The body damage isn't too much of a priority. The windows are top priority because the problem has basically destroyed a lot of the interior of my car. The steering wheel covering is damaged very badly and when I touch it while it's raining or after it has rained, the covering basically rubs off and stains my hands.
Another somewhat significant problem is that the interior of my windshield fogs up because of all the air and moisture that gets in due to my windows not properly closing. I have to wipe the interior part of my windshield and that stains the windshield and it means that I have wash the interior part of the windshield all the time. Sometimes, when it freezes outside, I will have frost and ice on the interior of my windshield, lol.

I am just curious because I want to have a mechanic look at this and give me a cost. I'm just looking for an estimate right now. I can't really afford to fork out money for this like this minute but maybe in a couple of months. And I'm curious to know if you buy the parts from someplace else and ask a shop to install them, is that cheaper than paying for both the labor and parts?
