After taking the weekend off, the Phillies got back to their winnings ways with an 8-0 win over the Nationals. Cliff Lee pitched amazing. Mark this down..the Phillies will be 6 games or less behind the wildcard come September 1st and the haters will really begin to get paranoid.

This is a team that once rallied from 7 back in only 17 games so anything is possible.

I'd rather implode and lose a few games and stay in first than suck so bad that you have no opportunity to win your division. Your team is selling the farm. Even THEY know they suck.

    15.5 games back

Sorry but you go for a Miami team, a NY team and a Philadelphia team. Are you the ultimate bandwaggoner or you just have no allegiance to a single state

3 out of 4 isn't bad. Like I said before, they will be 6 games back of that wildcard spot come September 1st. Then they will claim the final spot and not look back.

I bet you are happy with Dempster over Lee especially after tonight.

W, son..W. Something your Phillies can't say about tonight. Great job giving your boy Hamels that run support. Bet he dreams of being in Ranger blue when he goes to sleep tonight.

Cliff Lee going back to them Rangers
Phillies putting a pitcher with a 3.15 SIERA and a 3.12 xFIP on waivers
Phillies giving a huge contract extension to a pitcher with a worse SIERA and xFIP

3 wins in a row for the Phillies and are now 10 games back with a month and a half left to play. The haters are starting to have a little nervous laughter going on with them right now.

    Son, lets make a bet.

If Phillies make it in, I'm gone for however long you want me to be gone and if they dont you're gone for an x amount of time. Care to wager on that?
