Dropped 31 points tonight on 18 chucks in 28 minutes of play. Second highest scorer had 7 points. Lakers blown out by 35+ as usual when Kobe is in such a form.

"we don't need a good bench with our starting line up" - lakerfan
They don't. I don't know if you've noticed or not but Dwight Howard hasn't played a game for the Lakers yet.
Kobe has 31, and then the next one is Ebanks with 9 points![]()

I'm cool with Kobe chucking his way to 31 points. He needs to regain some form after his recent injury problem.
I mentioned in another thread but with the reported 50 pounds Kanter has lost, which shows in his stats so far throughout the preseason; Jazz have a pretty good front court (Millsap, Jefferson, Favors, Kanter). All those guys can easily put up double doubles.
The question this year, what guards show up?
Jodie Meeks has four threes tonight. That's a good takeaway from this game.
Tbh, the Lakers only need Nash and one of Pau/Dwight to play well to win. Kobe's the guy to turn to when they desperately need a basket but the pick and roll should be their main attack.
With two of the best pick and roll players, they should score from P&R's on a regular basis.
Exactly. If Mike Brown has an idea of how to do rotations, that is.
Mike will do fine if he takes a back seat and learn how to balance player minutes. He has to emulate Phil's style with Kobe's minutes during 2008-2011.
The thing that I'm afraid is that Mike will run the starters into the ground like last year. Hopefully the improved bench can do something about that.
lol pick & roll when you have "give me the goddamn ball, those records are not going to catch themselves" on your team
That was the third quarter in a nuts , tbh...
I hope he can do that when it matters.
How is the knee, Andrew? Make sure you get that fixed up, you're backing up Howard next season.
LOL getting excited over preseason play.
Obsession over bean![]()
I decided to not give you guys more ammunition. Edit: looks like I'm too late.![]()
That was a quick bait and switch, tbh![]()
average alt is average
We're used to see him going one on one. not so much tonight. you can tell he's been working on his catch and shoot game because it looked really good tonight. He hit several jumpers that way. I can see him being the recipient of many shots like this from Nash which should preserve his legs.
