their desire for a country of freedom and prosperity is so bigoted and racist and phobic and uncool

let's laugh at them cause we don't give a about the fate of this country or humanity

let's make this country more like Egypt, or some other African country, or Mexico, or Cuba, or take your pick...

Been thru a ton of presidents nothing has ever changed from one to the other. I was going to have it all regardless of who was in the White House, that was no factor at all in my life and it never will be.

I do wonder what those hicks/rednecks in the deep south think about a black as our president, then again they love football and realize they aren't winning without black players.

This is from my own facebook page. The dude that wrote this used to be a completely different guy before doing some time after graduating (with a 3.5 in chem engineering) and suc bing to the jailhouse, born-again christian cliche'. Now he's a youth minister and runs a successful business.

Anyway, he and I used to get into some fun, not-so-legal things in the good old days and he was as anti-establishment, anti-authority, as one could get.

    Here's what he wrote

In case anyone is wandering, I will no longer post political articles, stories, etc. It's not because there isn't a lot going on, it is getting crazier by the day in fact. I ratcheted up to do my best to influence this election, but now it's over. I don't know if I made a difference or not, but at least I tried. I think we just passed over the most important day in our nation's history. It was a chance to decide which way to go, and we chose. I fear our republic is dead. I don't think it died on Tuesday, I think it's been gone and some of us optimists were hoping for the best. Now I will focus on my faith and my family, like normal. Things are changing. If you can read the signs of the times, act on it for the sake of yourself and your family. It's not crazy to stock up a little food for rainy days. Best case you have extra food. Worst, your kids don't go hungry. We may be looking at a little inflation soon, so imagine a gallon of milk being ten bucks and you'll see where I'm going with this. Here's to hoping I'm wrong, and the best days are ahead. God bless you and God bless America. And America bless God.
I've gotta say, there are a lot of people out there like this and I'd be lying if I said it didn't unnerve me more than just a little bit. What planet are these people living in? How can they be so delusional? It's fun to laugh at stupid people, but I know for a fact that this guy is really smart. However, he's obviously so clouded by his religious beliefs and red team politics that he thinks the above. Granted, I haven't kicked it with him for years, and certainly not after his born-again, bull experience, but good ing grief, get a hold of yourself and relax.

I've known a ton of people far better off once they found a God. In my life experience those with a God in their life are far happier than those without a God. Why anyone would want to play..."you can't fool me oh no, I got smarts"...is a mystery to me. Churchs all over the place, in God we trust, so help me God, I swear to God, one nation under God. Footballer gets laid out on the field it looks pretty serious, what do we see, yep, these big bad dudes on a knee praying. Cat wins a race, they shove a mic in his face, we usualy hear.."first off I'd like to thank God for..." Then there's Christmas and Easter. I can't imagine what anyone gains playing..."bah humbug"...???

You keep saying that. I know plenty of people who are very happy without god. My girlfriend was religious but stopped and said she feels much better with religion and god out of her life. Who cares if a whole heap of people praise god.. that doesn't prove anything. You're saying that a football player who does the exact same thing but not religious wouldn't enjoy it and be worse off

Religion isn't bad, organized religion isn't bad, but mixing it with politics invariably is. The Middle East is a perfect example of this

Believe whatever turns you on why would I care? There is a reason there are how many religions/churchs out there? There is a reason we have...

    Oaks Christian
    Dalllas Baptist
    Notre Dame
    Texas Christian
    BYU
    Abilene Christian
    Oral Roberts University
    Oklahoma Baptist
    Fresno Pacific

......schools. I've known druggies who would steal from their mom for drug money that came to God and are now as squared away as it gets. If you think you're better off without a God in your life, cool with me.

Let's get a bunch of atheists together and what do we get, whatever it is I'm sure it doesn't compare to this...

Excuse me but number of things devoted to something doesn't automatically mean its good. Plenty of people in mass have followed some ridiculous things... oh wait if there's so many things invested in it, it must be good

Like I said go with what turns you on, I don't care, no way in I'm going to try and convince you of anything. I don't give a what you believe in or don't believe in that means nothing to me at all. I'm just telling you what I've seen in my life.

Little girls dog has to put down, when she looks up at you with big tears in her eyes and asks if Rover will like doggie heaven you can tell her..."there ain't no heaven that's all bull "...I'm not.

Most people simply feel better about things if some God is with them. We've been seeing that as far back as you want to go. Those who don't get it, ok whatever.

Dude, some cat in a hat and mask trying to look what..jesus.

lol at this generalisation. I don't know anyone who is practicing any religion and I have no depressed friends, all pretty happy blokes and girls tbh.. it's just ridiculous to say that someone with out without religion is better or worse, it depends on the person and certainly isn't dependant on religion, you are naive if you think that religion/god alone can make someone happy with their life
