"[Green can be] really good -- whatever that means. But really, really good," said Rivers. "I think he has it in him. The question for Jeff, is he a guy that can consistently give you 20 points per night, or 18 points per night? It's in him, as far as what we see, ability-wise. But you have to have the ability and the mental [makeup], and that's what we'll find out, if the other part is in him."
Through four games, Green is averaging career lows across the board at 7.8 points and 2 rebounds over 21.8 minutes per game. Dig deeper and you'll find the Celtics are plus-11 in the 110 minutes that Green has been on the bench, but minus-26 over the 87 minutes that he's been on the floor.
me. No, wait. you, Ainge. You've made some good moves, but trading for this heartless piece of certainly isn't one of them.

    I miss you Perkins.

That trade was stupid for both sides, tbh

All it did was open up PT for Ibaka.

Without Perk OKC does not beat Lakers. Bynum is too much to handle.

Without Perk the SloppySeconds can afford to resign Harden. I just don't think he's that good. What he brings can be obtained for much cheaper. Too bad for them Big Daddy Tyson failed his physical.

Green's a good guy (whatever that's worth), but he's a horrendous PF...which is the position he started at in OKC. Very timid on the glass and a bad low post defender. He would've been a good backup to KD, nothing more.

At first the trade looked like a steal for OKC, but looking at it today it was rather a short term solution for OKC. They now have to absorb Perk's contract.

At the time they needed a decent low post defender and an experienced guy. Perkins fit the role. I'm on the fence about him. He has his moments and has some value against guys like Howard, but I don't see him as any better than Nick Collison, to be honest. Thabeet at the moment is playing decent ball. By decent I mean he isn't entirely sucking, which is saying a lot for him.

porkins handled duncan well during the WCF last season and i don't think there're many guys capable of doing this imho. plus quality bigs are generally getting overpaid and there ain't many cheaper options out there capable of doing what pork does.

Perkins was a lot better on offense before the knee injury. He was never Hakeem but he was a competent offensive player not Jason Collins 2.0 like he is now

so so so so so glad i dropped him from my fantasy team after three games.

also, why did okc give perk such a huge contract after they traded for him?
    a) he was not fully recovered from the injury(i think he wasn't even playing at the time of the trade...)
    b) weren't they essentially bidding against themselves?

I guess I reverse jinxed him, as he made the next three shots and ended with 12 pts. Double digits! Woohoo!
