My apartment just put in some of these:

they work out quite well. the water saver toilets can be expensive but they'll save money in the long run, especially if you have those old school toilets from the 80s/early 90s.
For those that have them, is it worth the investment?

You wouldn't happen to live in San Antonio would you?
eating on a healthy diet would work better than any high-efficiency toilets imho
I asked this for a reason. If you live in San Antonio City limits and your house is older and has high flow toilets, SAWS will give you free dual flush toilets to replace your old ones. I did this 3.5 years ago and love them.

yep austin too, i installed two of these low flow toilets and they were free from the city
actually, I think that you just have to be served by SAWS, so not city limits.
DisAsTerBot, good program, right?
yep, sweet deal. And they don't suck. I thought they may not be the greatest, being free and all but they're actually pretty nice
I put these in my house. They are awesome.

Just bought a industrial type 1.6 gallon flush this weekend to replace the antique water waster toilet in the shop restroom at work. Loved that old toilet because when you have 10 guys crapping in one you damn sure want one that gets the job done, but it was getting where the porcelain in the flush throat was so worn that it was starting to leak by constantly. anyway, walked into Lowes, asked for help, and told him I wanted the one that flushed the best. He pointed me to this American Standard that said on the box it would flush a bucket of golf balls in one flush. I told him my guys weren't full of golf balls, they were full of ...![]()
