Haha! It always happens with this team. Some average guy gets a meteoric night playing against the Spurs. It's kinda fascinating and ed up at the same time.

Some random damn bum will turn into JORDAN on us! I remember 08 game 7 against the Hornets Janero FREAKIN PARGO turned into Jordan for a few minutes, hit every shot lol. He later on missed a few and shot them out of it, but he sure as got them into the game again with his bs shots.

isn't that because the defense has always managed to focus in on the stars pretty well? like back in 08, bowen couldn't guard everybody at once. i really dont care about these little guys scoring if it means winning the game. i agree that it's frustrating when a shannon brown or jerome james goes lights out and spurs lose as a result, but i'm not really all that concerned with a nobody scoring a lot if we're able to keep the stars in check. somebody's gotta score, it's not like the nba has shutouts

Their defense is what's disappointing and the bummer if it, is its not going to get much better. You guys can pray all you want, they can't stop anybody these days...just have to hope the other team shoots avg- below average...

I meant moreso some fluke shots going in from way outside or covered and that random bum goes off lol, it has happened a few times. I love the Spurs and we are blessed but some crazy off the wall things happen against this team lol! Mccgrady's ungodly game, although not a bum he did a once in a lifetime thing lol. Blazers that one time when they scored two times in one second to win lol. Fishers bs .4 (Although some said it did not count it still happened and went in off a heave), Kevin Martins wild flip up and lucky roll to beat us in game 3. Some wild stuff happens at times. Then you have some Medvendenko type dude go off in a game 5 in 03 like he is Malone in his prime lol! We won the game but some random dudes go off at times it seems against us.

I was making this more as a joke but the more I think of it some wild things happen to the Spurs that make me sit there and say really? Glad they got 4 les or else those moments would leave me in shambles for a sporstfan.

Yeah I MISS THE DAYS of the lights out D they had, damn those were fun days! I like the newer team as well who can run and score, but I miss the every year top 5 D team of the Spurs who hung their hat on it. When they went cold the D would hold it down, their best O was their D then.

^a lot of the older situations were freak instances...nowadays, players go off because of the spurs weak d..mainly on the interior..and perimeter..

Is this the Spurs now? Is this what they are on D? IF SO THEN I miss the serious Spurs who were contenders off D alone! When others mentioned the SUNS or Mavs we used to laugh, they played NO D we would say!! I miss those days. Nowadays it seems we are those Suns we used to laugh at launching threes etc.

That's been the running gag for the last two years though. Most people believed that what the Suns or Mavs at the time couldn't do, the Spurs would be able to.

oh man, no i know what you mean, does seem like a lot of fluke games happen. when i was younger, i'd watch a spurs game, and so-and-so would hit these crazy shots. i didn't know who they were so i'd look them up on 2k. come to find out, they had a rating of 65 or something and my mind would be boggled lol. their statline would be like 7-8 for 16 pts., i'm thinking, but this guy's a scrub!!!
