prolly since the west in 2005 had a buncha good teams n the west today be a justa mess. point of thread pretty re ed premise on hatin Kobe. any west team back then would do betta in this season
agree west were much tougher back then. spurs were at their zenith while teams like mavs & suns would preponderate today's OKC or monkeyball, and you often got 4-5 teams fighting for the #8 seed in the last a few games of the regular season. even the rockets n wolves were contending for something it seemed, which coincided with the 05' clippers who earned their only playoff berth in that decade
i thought houston was tanking tbh..

The West is still tough tbh. You still need 45-50 wins to simply sneak into the playoffs.
I doubt Harden gets them in but wouldnt be surprised if he comes closer than the Chucker.
west a mess now, harden stats not great now n they gon be worse in 2005 lakers. only way he make that team better be utilizing odom n butler to they best potential. but he gotta play point for that n who sg? Harden as a starter dun look any better than 04-05 Kobe.
it ain't help those lakers Kobe only play 66 games or he playin hurt. Harden healthy n play 82 games so no in he probably get Laker's few more wins.
