Actually, Blanks brought Hunter in as "his guy" to be the head coach permanently. This ain't no interim situation. Everything the Suns have said publicly in the last week have been lies. It's all a sham.

Either way even if you're right and that's not true, who gives a ? It's not like they were gonna be any good next year with Elston Turner or Dan Majerle as their coach, this is just another example of Phoenix fans getting caught up with sentimental drivel that has little substance. I wish Phoenix fans were this up in arms when Sarver hired an agent as the VP of basketball ops who used the team to get his client Josh Childress a contract the Goat iakos wouldn't even pay him.

Everything that's wrong with Phoenix sports. Of all the stuff Suns fans could be pissed about, they're enraged over a local guy not getting the chance to be interim head coach for a horrible team that wasn't gonna do anything.

Keep in mind, this local guy has had several interviews for head coaching jobs in recent years and got passed over every time. He isn't head coaching material (neither is Hunter for that matter).

He was also just featured on The Dirty within his assistant coaching tenure with the team.
