Never heard of the guy. I'm goin to go look him up now....
Spurs look at McGowan: Former Pepperdine forward Glen McGowan will attend a minicamp with the San Antonio Spurs, according to his agent, Brian Elfus. If he makes the cut after minicamp, he'll play in the Rocky Mountain Review summer league in Salt Lake City.
McGowan, who averaged 19.2 points and 7.6 rebounds for the Waves last season, worked out for the Clippers, Lakers, Portland and Washington before the draft but was not selected.
"Glen has the ability to play in the NBA, for sure," Elfus said. "It's a matter of him being in the right situation at the right time. He has tremendous upside."

Damn, he tore up Colorado St. hahaha 31 points, 22 rebounds 10 offensive rebs, 3 steals
I guess he is a SF, he doesn't block but he can get some steals and score and get some rebounds every now and then. He'll need to cut down on his fouls though he avg like 3 - 4 fouls a game.
Interesting. I wonder if the Spurs are running this mini-camp just for 3s...
He hasn't even made their summer league team yet. But I just post any Spurs info that I find at all.![]()

Says he is a PF. I thought we need SF?
I understand that there are bigs there too.
His numbers look good but can he make the transfer. They might be looking at him to replace Horry. Because honestly I see Horry leaving to Miami.
He can shoot the 3 alright though thats good for a PF. I wonder if the Spurs can convert him into a SF if he does make it because his stats are SF-like.
I don't think Horry will be leaving SA because he said he wanted to be near his daughter who is in Houston and going to Miami would be pretty damn far.
I'm guessing the Spurs are holding this mini-camp to find a small forward on the cheap. If they can, they'll say goodbye to The Third. If they can't, they'll take the option for next season.
Here is more numbers and info on McGowan.
Outlook:
Glen is a gifted scorer and his biggest strengths are his size, quickness and soft shooting touch. He makes it very hard for opponents to match-up against him because of his effectiveness as an inside and outside scorer.

The Spurs should be looking at Kennedy Winston. This kis has awesome shooting ability and defensive want to. A year or two under Bruce Bowen and this guy could become a big time SF.
what postion does noel fleix play?
Offensively PF. Defensively he guards PF, SF, and SG depending on what's needed. But he's committed to New Jersey's summer league team in Vegas and Seattle's summer league team in Salt Lake.
I understand he's contemplating offers from the Bobcats, Grizz, Sonics and Mavs to be on their summer league teams.
Most teams are freaked out by his multiple knee surgeries.
he looks like our kind of guy!
now if his FT's are then he is in for sure!
Chris Hill from MSU will also be at the Spurs mini-camp (starting July 10) trying to make the summer league squad.
The key is the TREMENDOUS UPSIDE POTENTIAL.

Hyuk,hyuk, hyuk!!!!
Chris Hill is . I doubt he will make it but if he does good job to him.
For an extra million or two, he'd probably weigh an hour flight against three hours.![]()
Is he a brotha?
Adam Miller of Draft Daily says "Schenscher to Spurs Summer League team". There is a thread about it over at SR. I wasn't sure if it was ok to link to the thread.
I know Schenscher is playing on Denver's summer league team in Las Vegas. I don't think the Spurs have confirmed anyone for their team yet, but maybe.Adam Miller of Draft Daily says "Schenscher to Spurs Summer League team".
Thanks for the info.
