this brings a good point. Could Tim Duncan get MIP???
a 36 year old who was #27 last year

According to this even ESPN admits Duncan is the top bigman in the game?? ahead of the likes of Griffin, Dwight, Gasol, Chandler, etc.
Is there another bigman they can put ahead of him?
here's my guess for the rest:
9 - Lilard??
8 - Wade
7 - Harden
6 - Parker
5 - Westbrook
4 - CP3
3 - Kobe
2 - Durant
1 - Lebron
this brings a good point. Could Tim Duncan get MIP???
Other than LeBron and Durant, I would not trade Tim with anybody else. (Not saying I would trade Tim for LeBron.)
All perimeter players in the top 10
Melo is gonna be in there instead of Lillard imo
Damien Lillard?!!! Rooks pretty good but c'mon!!!
Congrats to not only Timmy but to TP and the Spurs organization for having two players being recognized by ESPN in the top 10... Wow!!! Idk how long they've been doing the player rankings but that couldn't have happened atleast since the twin tower days. I'm one proud fan right now
LOL forgot about Melo
so yeah TD = best bigman in the game
he should be a shoe in for 1st Team All NBA and DPOY
James
Durant
Parker
Duncan
This means they think Duncan will be All-NBA first team, unless they do some stupid and have three "frontcourt" spots instead of two forwards and a center, allowing them to put LeBron, Durant, and Carmelo in the frountcourt.
the espn experts were picking marc Gasol in that fifth slot
Stephen A Smith called Howard the best big man in the game by far the other day.
This clown loves to kiss the asses of those that grant him interviews. He probably doesn't even watch the NBA anymore..
Kobe shouldn't be higher than 6. And Parker when healthy is top3. top5 at least. Before the injury he was in the mvp running ahead of Durant.
if this reflects the opinions of all-nba/all-defensive voters it seems Timmy has a legit chance to pick up a lot of hardware this year
you're just a hater. This is clearly one of Kobe's greatest seasons ever. Single handedly carrying his team with no help, defense be damned
Tim Duncan 2012-13 REGULAR SEASON

lmao @ Lillard being above Duncan.
The other 8 are acceptably above, though I would rather have Duncan than Westbrook and possibly Chris Paul right now. But I can understand why they are up there.
Surprised Melo is not on the list though, and that they didn't put Blake in there instead of Timmy just because.
Parker #7. damn can't believe they put Wade ahead of him tbh
Not high enough (or, depending on how you look at it, low enough). There's no credible argument for nine players being better than him this season.
Anthony is nine and Harden is eight. I suspect the order of the top seven from seven-one will be: Parker, Westbrook, Wade, Bryant, Paul, Durant, James.
At Gasol being ranked 14th. The most overrated player in the game by far at the moment (Lowe, Simmons and Kerr, among others, have proclaimed him the "best all around center"
and said he should be All-NBA 1st team). If he were "black", they'd notice that despite being a behemoth, he's a terrible rebounder and passive offensive player (he should be an elite low post scorer). But he's white, so he get's a pass for that and instead get's lauded for his basketball IQ.
Harden over Melo is a head scratcher. Refsbrook over Melo, Duncan, Harden, AND Parker is absolutely ing insane.
If you realize that people similar to and including Chris Palmer are doing the voting, then you'll know why the rankings are garbage. Brook Lopez being that low is a joke.
damn, pretty pathetic of the NBA that the best bigman is 36 years old
I blame Stern. His changing of the game not only alienates bigmen and stunts their development, but the faster pace probably increases bigmen injury rate.
Just look at Blake Griffin, his development literally stopped at year 2. Dude is a soft piece of , no post game, no paint dominance. Look at Dwight.
this is not NBA anymore, more like midgetball league
What? Griffin's game has improved a LOT this year. His jumper isn't there yet, but he's improved a ton as a player.
Year after year, they said Tim is done and this or that guy is better than Tim. But their PER is worse than Tim (let alone the defense part), and their team record is much worse than the Spurs', but only because they are young, flashy and scoring more points, they are better than Tim.
What's the logic behind all those?
